The kids of Jordan:

Uthman

Jordan is a country in the Middle East. It borders Saudi Arabia to the south, Iraq to the east, Syria to the north, and Israel/Palestine to the west. The southern tip of the country is the only access to the sea. Jordan is roughly the size of the state of Indiana.

Jordan's land consists of central highlands running north to south, and deserts in the east covering about two thirds of the country. The weather in Jordan is mostly dry all year round. It gets hot during summer, but it also gets quite cold during the winter.

Arabic is the official language of Jordan, though many people in the upper and middle classes also understand English. Almost all Jordanians are Muslim, but there is also a small Christian population. Over half of all Jordanians originally came from Palestine across the Jordan River to the west.

The capital of Jordan is Amman.
