Indonesia is a country in Southeast Asia. It is an archipelago, which means group of islands. Indonesia is located between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.
Its climate is hot and tropical, but some of the larger islands have mountains where the weather is a little cooler. The capital of Indonesia is Jakarta.
There are several language spoken in Indonesia. The official language is Bahasa Indonesia. Many people also speak English and Dutch. There are lots of of local dialects as well. The most common local dialect is Javanese.
